Funny QA tester shirts and gifts
For the person who finds the bug before the customer does, then has to prove it exists.
01 The lines
What they say at work.
Every piece is made to order. The images are mockups, and each one is labeled.
- CAN'T REPRODUCE. tee, $44
- The reply every tester has received with a perfectly good repro attached.
- KNOWN ISSUE. crewneck, $68
- Logged, labeled, and scheduled for a sprint that never comes.
- IT WORKS ON MY MACHINE. tee, $44
- What the developer says. What the tester hears is different.
- CHANGES REQUESTED. tee, $44
- For the tester who also reviews the fix.
02 The job
Why these lines.
QA is the job of being right and then being asked for steps to reproduce. A tester files a clear bug report with a screenshot, a browser version and a timestamp. It comes back as can't reproduce. It goes back with a video. It comes back as known issue. Somewhere in that loop, a developer writes that it works on their machine.
Testers live on both sides of every status on a ticket. They open the issue, they verify the fix, and they reopen it when the fix only covered the exact click in the report and not the one next to it. The jokes are about that patience.
These are the statuses a QA team sees most, printed plainly. Wear one to the triage meeting.
The words, in plain English: Cannot reproduce, Known issue, It works on my machine, Changes requested.
03 As a gift
Buying one for them.
Buying for a tester? CAN'T REPRODUCE. is the line they'll laugh at first, because they've heard it about a bug they filmed. If you're unsure of their size, the sticker sheet has no size and covers a laptop lid with the statuses they set every day. The crew is the cozy option for a QA lab that runs cold. Pieces are printed when you order, so leave time before a birthday or the holidays.
More by budget in the gift guide for programmers, and sizes, shipping and returns on the help page.
04 Someone else
Other jobs, other lines.
Buying for a whole team? Pick one line, any mix of sizes, no minimum. Team shirts.
